About Computer Department : -

 Department of Computer Engineering is started in the year of 2007 to add the needs of the north Maharashtra region. The department offers students an undergraduate program which is affiliated to North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. Here the students gain breadth and depth of knowledge in a multitude of computing specialties and are well prepared for industry positions as well as academic positions. The Bachelor of Engineering Programme in Computer Engineering commenced from the academic year 2007-08. The current student intake capacity is 60. It has always been among the top performers in the region. The Department continuously try to improve the programme delivery to keep our graduates competitive in the job market. The Department is known for its excellent results. There are seven well-equipped laboratories in the department. After graduation, the department continues to enjoy strong interaction and support from alumni. The Faculty consists of Head of the Department, Assistant Professors and Visiting Faculty.

Our dedicated faculty, who not only strive to excel in the classrooms but are always here to help students, the department has enthusiastic faculty members who provide expertise in their areas of interests which are major areas of computer science and engineering.

Computing Facilities/Labs

The Department has six well equipped and well-maintained laboratories along with one Central internet facility Lab with latest 75 Computers. Students may work on different configurations varying from Linux and Win7 etc. to fulfill their needs of the project. All these labs are well equipped with the sufficient number of printers.

The Department has a student's association named as COMPACT.

COMPACT, the Computer Student's association for creative technocrats of GCOE Jalgaon , aims to play a pivotal role in the development of students as engineers by various out of curriculum and extracurricular activities. COMPACT aims to inculcate among its members an awareness and appreciation of the various disciplines. By way of its activities COMPACT aims to be a platform for all the students of GCOE Jalgaon, in general and particularly of the students of Computer Engineering Department. Every year the COMPACT day is celebrated by organizing the poster competition, technical quiz, paper presentation, rangoli competition, parents meet etc. The other activities include wall magazine, expert lectures, computer hardware workshop, etc.

As always our students rocks, this year also our students shown their talent in curricular and extra-curricular activities. Rekha Thorat a BE Final Year Student successfully qualified gate 2017 by securing 39.10 marks. Priyanka Mali, Anjali Bodkhe, Prajakta Patil, Riddhi Singh Topped in the BE,TY,SY,FY Classes respectively.

We are really proud of our students who had participated in the national level coding event HACKETHON 17 organised by AICTE , held at Amritsar on 1 and 2nd April 2017.It was a 36 hours day and night coding event. The students from TYB.Tech. Kiran G. Gajbhiye (team leader), Akshata M. Shah, Anuja V. Momle, Laxmi Khedkar, Shagufta J. Siddiqui, Priyanka R. Kale Computer Department had represented the college in this event; The task of students was to develop a portal for food ministry of government of India.

S.Y.B.Tech Computer Students achieved great success in curricular and extra curricular activities in year 2016-17; summary of this is presented here. Ankush Patil is winner at 3 different programming competition at D.N.Patel College Of Engineering , Shahada, SSBT Jalgaon and SEED It Idol 2017 Jalgaon. Sujit P. Dhond, Sahil Sheikh are winner at Treasure hunt at SGD College of Engineering, Jalgaon. Shaikh Faizan is winner at Techno arena 2017(Andi Soccer) in GCOE Jalgaon. Janhvi N. Katariya got runner up prize at Technovanza 2017 Techroadies at SSBT Jalgaon. Shantanu S. Ghumade and Saikat K. Das got runner up prize in google it at techno arena 2k17 in GCOE Jalgaon. Shantanu S. Ghumade is also a winner in Chess competition at techno Arena 2k17 at GCOE Jalgaon.

T.Y. B.Tech computer students are also at the pinnacle of success in curricular and cultural activities in 2016-17. In This year 46 TY B Tech computer students marked as RedHat Certified; these students passed RHCSA certification examination successfully. Chaitanya Pathare secured all India Rank 232 in SRMC, he is also winner at SEED IT Idol jalgaon. Madhavi Chavan and Varsha Sapkale got runner up prize in web master competition at Techno Arena national level event of GCOEJ. Nitesh Thorat is winner in Drama competition of GCOEJ. Ashwini Rathod is a part of Winning team in departmental dance at jallosh annual function of GCOEJ. Abhay Mishra,Prachi Mahajan, Ashwini Rathod are zonal players in basketball, volley ball, Kho-Kho games respectively.

BE Final Year computer students are also not behind in race. Dolly Jadhwani is winner, Nikita Hattiwale and Anagha Joshi secured 2 nd Runner prize in paper presentation at IMR college whereas Ankita Ahuja and Dolly Jadhwani got 2 nd Runner prize at GCOEJ. .Abhinav Kumar and Amol Pingle are winner in web master, an event in techno Arena 2k17 of GCOEJ. Divyanand Yadav is winner of Code-a- thon at GCOEJ. Pratik Nilajkar and Bhagyashri Pawar are winner and
Toshan Sabni and Kamini Sharma are runner up of GOOGLE IT competition at GCOEJ. Sanket Thombre, Kamini Sharma and Toshan Sabni are runner in Food Mela GCOEJ. Ankita Ahuja, Damini Sapate selected for Basketball team at national and Zonal level and also part of winning basketball team at zonal level. Ankita Ahuja, Dinaz Adjania, Damini Sapate are part of second Runner team of Hand ball at zonal level. Gunjali Mahajan is winner in inter college table tenis at Nahata College, Bhusawal. Apurva Walhe is runner in intercollege ball badminton at GCOEJ. Bhagyashri Pawar, Ankita Ahuja, Damini Sapate, Dinaz Adjania, Apurva Walhe are the part of winning hand ball team in tere college competition at GCOEJ. Bhagyashri Pawar, Ankita Ahuja,Damini Sapate,Anagha Joshi and Aditi Paradeshi are the part of winning Basket Ball team in the college competition at Bhendale College,Jalgaon.Computer department had organised an inter-institute event named "COMPACT 2k17" on 18 March 2017. Around 300 students had participated in 5 events namely Art gallery: students had shown and displayed their excellent creative items, Personal Interview: It gave a great opportunity to participants to show their skills and face the tricky questions asked by the interviewer, Literatura: This event was based on knowledge about words and thoughts and had other challenging rounds like extempore, Street Skit : This event was based on skit, participants showed their various emotions and gave moral messages by performing skits, Business mania : This event gave a platform to participants to show their marketing skills by performing various fun tasks.
